![]() ![]() Item 1: 30% Microteaching session plan (1500 words or equivalent).Participants will be in interdisciplinary groups and encouraged to exchange practice between disciplines. Participants will undertake a microteaching session as part of the module, presenting a mini teaching session to course peers. The module comprises seven core teaching sessions which will be focused around planning, designing and reflecting on teaching. It also includes an introduction to theories of learning and focuses on the importance of active and student-centred learning approaches, including the flipped classroom. The module is focused around key elements of designing an individual teaching session, in a range of modes of delivery (including face to face, online and blended). ![]() Designed as an introduction to the theory and practice of learning and teaching in higher education, the module will help participants develop the practice of reflecting on and enhancing their teaching.
